Robotics and Smart Places

Connecting robotics, education and society

Helping learners, educators, orgainsations and communities, understand the opportunities, skills and challenges of robotics and autonomous technologies in the places where we live, learn and work.

Education Partner - Milton Keynes Robotics Adoption Hub

We are an education partner within the Hub, working alongside partners from local government, industry and higher education.  We are bringing robotics to life across the curriculum through real-world learning, exploration and discussion.

Learning rooted in real places

From robots in shared public spaces to the technologies that help them sense and navigate, we connect learning with the world around us.  Milton Keynes provides the starting point, with an approach that can inspire learning in towns, cities and communities elsewhere.

Making robotics accessible

Our planned programme connects practical applications with the people, questions and skills behind the technology.

Across the curriculum

Connecting robotics with subjects.

Real world learning

STEM engagement at the Smart City Experience Centre and through Smart City Robotics Competitions.

Society, ethics and trust

Exploring safety, accessibility and responsibility and what robotics means for communities.

Skills for the future

Connecting education and industry to help young people explore skills and future pathways.

A new chapter for robotics

"Robotics is increasingly part of everyday life. As an education partner within the Milton Keynes Robotics Adoption Hub, we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring robotics to life across the curriculum, helping young people explore its use in real-world open spaces, its connections with other emerging technologies, along with social and ethical implications. Without requiring schools to invest in expensive kit, we aim to make robotics accessible and inspire young people to engage confidently with the technologies shaping their futures."
